Waiting on Wednesday (1)

Hey guys!

Today I’m doing my first Waiting on Wednesday which is hosted by Breaking the Spine. I’ve decided to feature The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey, which is the second book in the 5th Wave trilogy.

Title: The Infinite Sea
Author: Rick Yancey
Series: The 5th Wave Trilogy, #2
Publisher: Putnam
Publication Date: September 16, 2014

The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”
How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

For those of you who don’t know The 5th Wave has been one of my favorite reads this year! I absolutely love Rick Yancey’s writing and I need to know what happens to all the characters and what happens next in the story! If you haven’t picked up The 5th Wave yet, you definitely should!

I hope you liked my very first Waiting on Wednesday! Link yours in the comments and I'll be sure to check it out!

  1. Aw, I wish I liked the first book in this series more! I actually marked the 5th Wave DNF. I was just not liking the flashbacks and all of the POV. This one sounds like it will be better though! There will probably be less flashbacks :)

    Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Great first Wow! :) I haven't read the 5th Wave, but I've heard great things about it. I hope you enjoy this one.

Thank you for stopping by WinterHaven Books.

  3. EXCELLENT choice for your first WoW! :D I loved The 5th Wave, and can't wait for this sequel either!!

  4. Great cover and hope you get to read soon
